Random Bit of LOONEY! Day 1: Bob Clampett

Hey Everybody Rick here with the a look at the work of the animators we will be talking about in our 55th episode of United States of Geekdom!  The episode will be out later this week but I figured it would be most appropriate to give you guys a taste of some of the work that the denizens of Termite Terrace (the Warner Bros. Animation Studio so named because the original building was infested with termites) brought us in the early days of Warner Bros. Animation.   Bob Clampett is one of the more influential (and controversial) names in animation and his work here shows why.  His work influenced the likes of Ren and Stimpy creator John Kricfalusi who has named Clampett his favorite animation director.  I bring you "The Great Piggy Bank Robbery," which is a tribute to Dick Tracy.  Enjoy!
