For those of you young 'uns, back in the 1980s, cell phones were almost non existent. Those that DID exist, were the size of a brick and if thrown, could kill a small horse. That said, those of us who could not afford a cell phone, resorted to using what was called a phone booth; a glass paneled structure that you could close for privacy which had a phone, a phone book, and a myriad of other things that probably should not have been put in there. Things like used condoms, pre-chewed gum, and whatnot. Anyway, the reason for the history lesson here is because a phone booth is used prominently throughout the proceedings here in this movie.
