Random Bit of Awesomeness Trailer Bark?: Frankenweenie!

My love for Tim Burton and Stop Motion Animation knows no bounds.  While Nightmare Before Christmas was not him directing, he produced and the story and the characters were distinctly Burtonesque.  It has since become a classic and a perennial favorite among many geeks.  His first full length stop motion film that he directed was Corpse Bride and that one is highly underappreciated.  It really is a fun movie and the animation is beautiful.  This one however, looks like a return to form for Burton.  I love the look of the characters and everything in between.

Frankenweenie started life as a live action short film staring Henry Thomas, Daniel Stern, and Shelley Duvall.  You can find it on the DVD for Nightmare Before Christmas.  It really is worth tracking down.  And now we get a full length version of the story and this looks wonderful.  October cannot come soon enough.  This is going to be a great year for movies people!  More trailers coming at ya real soon!

One problem. It's not Henry Thomas as Victor, it is Barret Oliver who stars in films like COCOON, THE SECRET GARDEN, D.A.R.Y.L. and of course, THE NEVERENDING STORY.

Oh, okay. I tend to get the two of them confused. Thanks for the correction!
