All-Con Countdown - Four Days!

Part 27: Our Hero!

She launched her career as a contestant hopeful for Who Wants to Be a Super-Hero in 2009. She was the MVP of A Piece of the Action Collectibles' 2009 Comic, Toy, and Collectibles Swap Meet. She was the 2009 winner of All-Con's Super-Hero Sunday.  She won first place in Who Wants to Be a Super-Hero Online! And she is the official Children’s Guest for All-Con 2011! I am speaking of non other than the USG’s Official Super-Hero PurrKayla!

I first met Purr at another of our Comic, Toy, and Collectibles Swap Meets where she greeted the kids and made everyone’s day. Since then she has been a guest on Amazing Comicast and the United States of Geekdom podcasts, done face painting at the Swap Meet, Wizard World, and Dallas Comic Con, and appeared at more conventions than there is space to list! In other words she is every bit the super-hero and friend of the local fandom scene.

All-Con has not only supplied her with a table from which to provide face painting for kids of all ages all weekend this year but named her their Children’s Guest for the show! PurrKayla will be at All-Con all weekend painting faces (kids and adults alike) free of charge! A donation of any amount to her favorite charity, KittyCo, is appreciated but not required for face painting. 100% of the donation proceeds go directly to the charity! Purr pays for all of her paints and supplies out of her own pocket.  Again, she is every bit a hero to humans and felines alike!

In addition to this she will be a judge in the Anime Maids Competition and one of my guests for JediCole’s Morning After. This is why she is the purrrrrfect addition to All-Con 2011!
